Do you believe that Daddy will be 83 on February 15??? These are school pictures of the Bond Twins, the mean, scruffy one on the left and the quiet, neat one on the right! These two pictures say it all.
We were talking over pizza last night, and Daddy was telling me that he got his first TV in 1953 (I was 2 years old.); Guy was born the same year. The TV had a 9" screen. They'd turn the lights off to watch it because the light distorted the picture and the light would drown out the picture. It didn't have a cabinet, so our Uncle Paul Robinson (Aunt Georgia's husband and Pa's brother-in-law) built a cabinet for it. The Bond Family got electricity in 1937; Dad was 11. His first official job with at The Potato Farm in Crossville as a large equipment operator. We'll save the stories regarding outhouses and indoor plumbing for another day.
